Kate was diagnosed with a supratentorial primitive neuroectodermal tumor or sPNET on June 29, 2009.
Kate achieved remission one year later after brain surgery, 5 rounds of chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant, and 31 treatments of brain radiation.
On February 1, 2011, Kate relapsed with new spots on her brain.
